COOKIE POLICY

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, and device fingerprinting. Throughout this policy “cookies” covers all of these.

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies. Required for the website to function (for example, remembering your cookie consent choice). These do not require consent.

Analytics cookies. Set by Google Analytics. They tell us how many people visit the site, which pages they view, and roughly where they come from. We use this to improve the site. These cookies are loaded only after you give consent.

Advertising cookies. Set by Google AdSense and, in some cases, by sponsors or advertising partners. They are used to show relevant ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and measure ad performance. Personalised advertising cookies are loaded only after you give consent. Where you do not consent, only non-personalised ads (based on rough context, not your profile) may be shown, in line with Google’s policies.

Third-party cookies. Cookies set by external services such as map providers, social media embeds, or sponsored content. Each third party has its own privacy and cookie policy.

Managing your cookies

You control cookies through:

  • Our cookie banner, shown on your first visit. You can reopen it through the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer.
  • Your browser settings, which let you block or delete cookies. Instructions are available in your browser’s help section. Blocking essential cookies may break parts of the site.
  • Browser-level signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), which we honour where applicable.
  • Google Ad Settings at https://adssettings.google.com to control ad personalisation across Google services.

Under PECR and UK GDPR, we ask for consent before placing non-essential cookies.
