Sitting within the city of Leicester, the University of Leicester Central Campus is the main academic hub of one of the UK’s established universities. Campus Character and Setting
The central campus brings together teaching buildings, research facilities, student accommodation, and open green spaces in a relatively contained urban setting. Victoria Park, a large public open space, borders the campus and gives students and visitors room to walk and relax. The University Road corridor connects the campus to the wider city, passing a mix of student housing, cafes, and local shops.
Getting There
Leicester railway station lies roughly a mile to the north, making the campus accessible from across the East Midlands and beyond. Regular city bus services run along University Road and nearby routes, with stops close to the main campus entrances. The M1 and M69 motorways serve the broader Leicester area for those travelling by car.
